ANATOMY is subdivided into macroscopic and microscopic. Macroscopic, also called topographical anatomy, (anthropotomy) is the study of anatomical structures that can be mapped and seen by unaided vision. Microscopic anatomy is the study of minute anatomical structures, organization of tissues (histology) and cells (cytology).
